Not every coin can be a PF70 but whatever you want to grade I will work with you to obtain the best possible outcome.

Is it necessary to grade? No but it helps.

NGC Grading Tiers

Grading success starts with your skills at buying and choosing beautiful coins. After that the next most important thing is to fully understand the NGC grading system of tiers and options. I have prepared some great information to show you around all the different tiers to you can know which coins fall into which tier.

Making your graded coins stand out from the crowd

Its always important to start the process with the best coins that you can possibly start with but coins in holders can be presented in the best possible way by opting for conservation where needed and by selecting the most appropriate label. The one in the photo is the exclusive label that is available ONLY for submissions from NNS to NGC and for any type of sovereign from 1817 to date.

COIN GRADING FAQs

Can you grade any coin?

Unless a coin is not genuine or not eligible it can be graded by NGC. Most coins are in the modern tier for coins minted after 1955 or in the Value tier for older coins worth less than £250

How long does the process take?

From the time NGC in the UK get the coins to the time they are back from the USA takes about 30 working days. The process takes up to 10 days longer than that since there is additional time at the start and finish,

How do I get the coins to you?

Most submitters choose to send by post using Special Delivery but if you have coins that are more expensive and do not feel happy using the post then you are welcome to make an appointment and hand deliver the coins in London.

How and when do i pay?

It is fair to say that the grading process takes some time so payment does not need to be made with order. After your coins have been submitted to NGC you will receive an invoice that should be paid within 1 week by Paypal Friends or Bank Transfer.

How do i contact you?

I am readily available to contact and the best way to find me and start a dialogue is via Facebook messenger - first join the Numistacker Facebook group then message me there and you will find me

Can you review my coins and advise?

While I have seen thousands of coins I am not an expert on everything. I will always look at your coins and let you know if i think they will get through the grading process or if they might be “Details”

Risks and Liabilities

Coins are graded in the USA and the transport to and from the USA is generally arranged by NGC in London and fully insured. We use Royal Mail Special Delivery and Tracked and Signed for most packages and this has proved very reliable.

We charge a premium of .75% of the declared value or tier maximum if lower on each coin to cover the risks involved and this can be opted out as needed by the submitter in which case a baseline liability of 25% of the spot metal of the coins is provided.
