New guide: how to get banknotes graded by PMG in the UK

Collectors of paper money ask us how to get their notes graded, so we have published a new guide to PMG grading from the UK.

It explains who can submit banknotes to PMG, the seven steps from your note to a graded holder, how long it takes (roughly the same as coins: about two and a half months on average, as at October 2026), what goes into the price, and what PMG's grades and designations, such as EPQ and Star, mean. It ends with the questions collectors ask, from posting your notes to insurance.
