The wisdom is real collectors pick up full sovereigns but do clever collectors pickup half-sovereigns? that remains to be seen but there is recently more interest in older half sovereigns and there are few to go round. Many are as rare or even rarer than the full sovereign equivalents. The 1825 proof of record half has almost none know in the public sphere with few known in museum collections
