Royal Mint - James Bond Coins 2020

The new bond film is delayed now till 2021 but meanwhile the Royal Mint has been keeping us amused with a series of three coins that have different themes and spell 007 - each coin has a different icon with the Aston Martin DB5, Wet Nellie the Lotus Esprit and the Bond Tux in “Shaken not Stirred.

The coins are fun and there are a few different varieties - lets take a look at the James Bond Coin Portfolio to remind ourselves of what was on offer

The three coins form a series and contain a hidden message. The 2oz Silver and gold are micro engraved with the names of all of the James Bond movies. Bond 1 was issued in March 2020 at the start of the COVID crisis, Bond 2 was issued in September 2020 and is probably the strongest design and Bond 3 is issued in October 2020. The 2oz gold sold out almost immediately and was closely followed by the 1oz Gold coin.
